Wuwei Museum, founded in 1982, is located at No. 25, Guzang Road, Xuanwu Street, Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Province. It covers an area of 36,861.5 square meters and a building area of 19,821.77 square meters. Demonstrating the profound historical and cultural deposits and rich cultural heritage resources of Wuwei City in Gansu Province.
In September 1982, Wuwei City Museum was established. In May 2019, the new Wuwei Museum was completed and opened. In December 2020, it was evaluated as the fourth batch of national third-level museums
Wuwei Museum has a collection of 46,111 cultural relics of all kinds, among which 1,036 are precious cultural relics, including 2 national treasure level cultural relics, 170 first-class cultural relics, 274 second-class cultural relics and 592 third-class cultural relics. Especially the Han and Tang Silk Road relics, Western Xia relics, ancient Buddhist relics and cultural relics of ethnic minorities stand out. The total collection is second only to Gansu Provincial Museum and Gansu Slips Museum
